The only school dedicated to power hammer forging
Classes taught by experts in the field of artist blacksmithing. One power hammer and forging station per two students. |
Using the methods developed by Uri Hofi, students from coast to coast have discovered the magic
created with a power hammer. The time saved by forging with a power hammer vs. forging by hand, will
justify the cost of owning a power hammer. However, the hammer will not produce excellent
results without a trained operator. One could spend years 'playing around' with a power hammer and
still not reap the full benefits offered by these tireless tools.
While the techniques used in "free-hand" or "free form" power hammer forging are not rocket science,
instruction, practice and critique are required to become proficient with the power hammer.
This is all covered at the Power Hammer School.
Local Classes or DemonstrationsWe will come to YOUR shop if you have one or more Big BLU's and put on a class for you, your employees, your friends or local group. Note that the value of the class is related to the ratio of hammers to students. Normally for a class the hammer and forge to student ratio is 2 or 3 to one but for private classes 4 to one works. IF you have more then the class is primarily a demonstration. Classes can run one of more days, two to three being typical.
